A migraine is a severe form of a headache associated with a severe, painful throbbing, and pulsing sensations in the head. Migraine headaches are accompanied by:
- Sensitivity to both light and sound
They can typically last for hours at a time, or even days; and the pain is debilitating to most, keeping them from everyday activities and tasks. For some, migraines are chronic and happen every day. For these patients, a course of regular exercise and coping is needed. Regular aerobic exercise reduces tension and can help prevent migraines. Our physical therapists can work with you to create a regular set of exercises as well as coping methods to lessen the affects.
